The Old Love and the New is a comedy by Bronson Howard (1842-1908)[1], adapted by James Albery (1838-1889)[2].

Originally written by Bronson Howard as a drama in five acts and six tableaux called The Banker's Daughter - Lilian's Last Love (also known simply as The Banker's Daughter) and performed in 1878.

Adapted for the English stage by James Albery, it was performed in London as The Old Love and the New in the same year.


Filmed in 1914 as The Banker's Daughter, directed by William F. Haddock and Edward M. Roskam
