The Miranda-Harper Company (or Miranda-Harper Opera Company) was the first professional opera company in the Cape.

It began as a group of independent professional singers resident in Cape Town in the 1860s, who would give occasional concerts, and probably performing together at times. They gradually branched out become full opera company, the first such a company in the country.

From December 1868 to January 1869 a David Harper was back in SA with a new company, the Miranda-Harper Company. New concerts were performed during August 1869.
