by Stephen Black. A hugely popular farce about the goldfields, which satirizes the individual capitalists, while employing a classical melodramatic plot. First performed by Black’s company in 1910, often repeated till the 1930s. Published in a collection of Black’s plays edited by Stephen Gray (Ad Donker 1984). Published in Three Plays by AD Donker.
