Halls are usually named after the particular school, though in many cases also named after prominent persons allied to the school (former principal, distinguished alumnus).

School Halls have traditionally also been used for cultural and other social activities, notably for school plays. These halls have often been used as venues for rehearsals for and productions of (touring) plays.
