Originally written as a screenplay by Shirley Johnston, the script won the 1999 M-Net New Directions Screenwriting Award.
The film
Filmed by Richard Green, it was screened at the Labia Cinema, Cape Town as part of the Sithengi Festival in 1999 and was broadcast on DSTV in 2001.
