Pine Street (formerly Nelson Street), Durban. In 1850s, a Music Hall, attached to the Trafalgar Hotel. Renamed the Trafalgar Hall in 1869, it became the main venue for concerts, operas and plays in Durban. In 1876, with renovations and the addition of a proscenium arch, it became the 600-seater Trafalgar Theatre. Visiting performers included Disney Roebuck and Charles du Val. Closed 1890s.
