This is the theatre built for the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department in 1966, and was named after the then incumbent rector of the University, Prof H.B. Thom.
Revamped and enlarged in 2016-2018, it was renamed the Adam Small Theatre , after the South African poet, playwright and academic, Adam Small
