(b. 1952-) Dramatist. Born in Port Elizabeth and lived in Zwide, educated in the Transkei. ** Author of Confused Mhlaba (1974). started writing plays while still at school. Confused Mhlaba was his ninth play and was written in 1973. It was performed in Johannesburg and Soweto the following year, but was banned in 1979 under Act No 44 of 1950, as was the text of the play, published by Ravan Press in Johannesburg in November 1974. Khayalethu Mqayisa was banned for five years under the Internal Security Act.
