The Great Volunteers' Parade took place in Durbanville, Cape Town, on 6 October, 1859.

As part of the parade, the Cape Town Theatrical Club in association with other amateurs, presented the burlesque Frederick of Prussia, or The Monarch and the Mimic (Selby) and Whitebait at Greenwich (Morton).
