Een Stoute Daad (lit "a naughty deed") is a historical tragedy in four acts by "Jaco".

Described in the Dutch as an "historisch toneelspel uit den tijd van den Tachtigjarigen Oorlog (1573)", it deals with the Eighty Years' War or Dutch War of Independence (1568–1648)[1], when the seventeen provinces of what are today the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, and the French region of Hauts-de-France revolted against the political and religious control of Philip II of Spain.
