("The case about the family") by C.J. Langenhoven. A reworking of the author's own short farce Die Trouwbelofte (1907) to a full-length comedy based on a court case dealing with wedding vows, watering rights, breeding birds, lawyers, etc.
First published by J&H Pocock in Oudtshoorn 1911.
1911: First full performance of in the Drillsaal (Drill Hall) in Oudtshoorn in May 1911.
1932: Performed in Bloemfontein under the mondernised Afrikaans title Die Familiesaak by Die Vrystaatse Toneelskool of the Hanekoms.
