Afrikaanse Taalvereniging (ATV)

Die Afrikaanse Taalvereniging (ATV - “Afrikaans Language Society”) was an Afrikaans cultural association, which promoted amateur performances of Afrikaans plays through its various branches . In this regard, the Cape Town and Stellenbosch branches (the latter of which was comprised largely by University-people) were particularly active by 1912 and later, after humble beginnings in 1906 ??**.
