Dagbreek is a one-act play by Wynand du Preez (the pseudonym of Anna Neethling-Pohl).

An Afrikaans one-act play performed by the Volksteater in Pretoria in June 1940. It tells the story of a member of the Boer rebellion of 1914 who was shot by a government firing squad. It paralelled the story of the real-life Gideon Scheepers and was produced in aid of the Reddingsdaadbond (an anti-war movement), leading to strong criticism from pro-war press. Performed in 1941 by the Krugersdorp Municipal Dramatic and Operatic Society (Dir. Hermien Dommisse), featuring Gert van den Bergh.
