DU PLESSIS, Zack (1950-2011) [1] [2] was a South African actor and comedian for stage and television.
He trained at the University of Pretoria Drama Department.
Zack began his stage career with PACT in 1973 and roles included a cameo in Kanna, hy kô Hystoe (1974).
He became a national public figure with his appearance in the wildly popular TV sitcoms Orkney Snork Nie (“Orkney does not snore”) and Vetkoekpaleis (“Doughnut Palace”) in the 1980s.
In 2001 he took over as one of the compéres for the equally popular Afrikaans comedy show Maak ‘n Las (“make a link”).
