This is a popular “soft-shoe” dance form developed by the Zulu migrant workers, and performed as a competitive form in the cities. The title means “walking like a cat” and has various spelling (e.g. it is spelled isicathamaya by Loren Kruger, isicathameya by Peter Larlham and isicathamiya by Martin Orkin.) (The Zulu name means “walking like a cat”.)
