Biography
Born in **
During the struggle years, she became a Major in MK, working in Procurement.
She completed a Post-graduate Diploma in developmental management and public policy (University of Durban Westville, 1998), an MA (with distinction) in African Literature (University of the Witwatersrand, 2002) and a PhD in African Literature (University of the Witwatersrand (2005).
Her career has included work for Sunday Times as journalist, The Bomb Shelter Film Company (2002 – 2004), Unisa Press (as Commissioning Editor, 2006 – 2008), Unisa History and Memory Project (Project leader, 2008 – 2015) and since 2016 the Director of RAW Content(Pty) Ltd, for whom she does research, writing and content development. Among her publications here have been 'The University of South Africa: memories, transformation and Africanisation'
She is also a member of Editorial Committee for the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation (since 2010)
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
In the late 1970s she was involved with the expatriate Medu Art Ensemble in Gabarone.
