Sam Marais

Sam Marais (19**-). Actor.

Performed in The Thorn Child (at City Centre Durban ??? and the Market Theatre), Met Permissie Gesê (at the Market Theatre), Putsonderwater (with TRUK), Evita (with PACT).

He starred in Godspell, directed by Des Lindberg and Dawn Lindberg at the Civic for PACT in May 1986 and at the State Theatre, Pretoria in 1985. He starred in Movin’ at Sun City in 1987. He starred in Ain’t Misbehavin’ at the Andre Huguenet in 1990. He starred in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s musical Jesus Christ Superstar at the Durban Playhouse in 1991.

He won the Vita Award for his role in the musical Once on This Island, 1993.
