A Fast Train! High Pressure!! Express!!! A Short Trip is a farce in one act attributed to J.M. Maddox (John Medex Maddox, also known as John Medex, 1789-1861)[1]

The cumbersome title appears in a variety of guises, depending on the number of exclamation marks used. Michael Dobson (2011: p. 81) for example cites a performance at the Ingoldsby Club in 1861, which has it as The Farce of A Fast Train! High Pressure!! Express!!!, and the Wikipedia entry on the author John Medex Maddox[2] has it simply as A Fast Train! High Pressure! Express!.
