Tony Fletcher

FLETCHER, Tony (19**-) Born in ***, Tony Fletcher is a leading puppeteer and director of Fletcher's Puppets, Cape Town.

[**EXPAND**] Jill Fletcher and Tony Fletcher had a club for young people, teaching them about making glove puppets, which the learners then used to put on a puppet show for the parents, on the puppet stage which Tony had built in their house.

Fletcher In the early 1970s the Fletchers mounted periodic marionette productions at the Nico Malan Theatre in Cape Town, centered on their loveable character, "Mrs Em".
