John MacSycophant is a satirical burlesque style piece by an anonymous author.

Published on 10 August 1832 De Zuid Afrikaan (also as Jan Pluimstrykers zoon in the Dutch version), it had been written in emulation of C.E. Boniface's successful satire and was in this case aimed at John Fairbairn and the English clergy of the time.

There is no mention of a performance.
