The Jero Plays [1] by Nigerian playwright and Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka (1934-) [2] consist of two short plays: The Trials of Brother Jero (1964) and Jero's Metamorphosis (1966).

The plays have been published in different collections, among others in Plays: 1 by Wole Soyinka. London : Methuen Drama, 1998.

Performance history in South Africa

The Trials of Brother Jero, directed by Albert Thomas, 5 and 6 March 1972.

The Trials of Brother Jero (1964) and Jero's Metamorphosis (1966) were presented in a double bill at the Little Theatre, directed by Mavis Taylor, probably as part of the Community Arts Project in the 1980s. Some of the cast members were Nkosinathi Gqotso and Aziwe Magida.
