Mr W. Brandt (17**-18**) was an amateur performer and composer in Cape Town.

He worked with Charles Etienne Boniface and was a member of the theatrical societies Honi Soit qui Mal y Pense and Vlyt en Kunst, and apparently also helped other companies out from time to time.

As an actor he appeared as "Bronn" in De Vrouw met Twee Mannen on 15 October, 1825.

In an advert dated 21 December 1831, he is thanked for his sterling work on the music for a production of Der Freischütz, or The Seventh Bullet (Weber) and Animal Magnetism, or A Cure for the Hydrophobia (Mrs Inchbald) by All the World's a Stage on 28 October 1831.

He composed the music for a performance of Montoni, of Het Kasteel van Udolpho by Vlyt en Kunst in 1836
