Jo-Ann Pezarro
(19**-) Actress and singer. * She starred in The Boy Friend which was staged by the Academy at the Brooke in 1969. It also starred Richard Loring. She starred in the Des and Dawn Lindberg production of Pippin with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and direction, choreography and design by Des Lindberg. It also starred Sammy Brown, Hal Watters, Bess Finney, Taliep Petersen, Sophia Foster, Robin Dolton and Andre Hattingh at His Majesty’s in 1975. She starred in a revival of Irma la Douce at the Brooke Theatre in 1977. She shared the title role in Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita with Sharon Lynne in the 1981 production of this play also starring Gé Korsten and Eric Flynn and directed by Geoffrey Martin at the Pretoria State Theatre and the Johannesburg Civic Theatre.
