("South African Theatre Studio") A training institution founded in Bloemfontein in 1967 by Jo Gevers and Schalk Jacobsz. Their aim was to produce plays that were not produced regularly in a technically and artistically responsible way and to create opportunities for those who were not in the position to commit themselves fulltime to a theatre company.

Some of their productions were Speelgoed van Glas, Dagboek van 'n Gek, Die Tier en die Tiksters, Die Koning Sterf and Tango.
