A theatre created on the campus of the University of natal's Durbnan campus by Elizabeth Sneddon and Pieter Scholtz. Notably utilised for their landmark Natal Theatre Workshop Company's production of Welcome Msomi's Umabatha in 1970.
later renamed after the long-time head of the department, actor, director and playwright Pieter Scholtz.
