(19*-19*) An educator and theatre supporter. *** Was the secretary of the 1945 Eybers Commission of Enquiry into adult education, which ultimately led to the founding of the National Theatre Organisation (NTO). Later appointed as the one of Education Department's representatives on the first board of the NTO.
