D. Disant (17**-18**) was a Capetonian, and an amateur performer.


Contribution to South African theatre

A J.D. Disant was apparently involved with C.M. Villet's French Company in 1809. He was a member of C.E. Boniface's society, Honi Soit qui Mal y Pense.

Appeared as "De Graaf Eduard van Fersen" in De Vrouw met Twee Mannen by René Pixérecourt and "Sir James Elliot" in The Liar by Samuel Foote on 15 October, 1825.
