Biography
Contribution to South African theatre
As performer
She has appeared in many productions over the years, including Symbols of Sex and State (Pieter-Dirk Uys, 2000), For Coloured Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf (2002, Fleur du Cap Award for Best Performance in a Musical or Revue, shared with the cast), The Lion and the Jewel (State Theatre Pretoria, 2008), Tin Bucket Drum (Con Cowan Theatre, University of Johannesburg, 2015).
In 2005 she also participated in the The Baxter Storytelling Festival at the Baxter Theatre Centre (in association with Sibikwa Community Theatre Project, 2005)
As artistic director
In 2013 she became the artistic director for the Soweto Theatre, and set about seeking new ways of making theatre that would speak to the community.
