A one woman play by Tony Jackman.

The original text

A play about Emily Hobhouse and the horrors of the British army's scorched earth policy and the concentration camps they introduced, in which now homeless Boer women and children were incarcerated and thousands died.

Performance history in South Africa

2013: First performed at the National Arts Festival by Lynita Crofford, directed by Christopher Weare, where it won the (Standard Bank Ovation Award for 2013.
