KIMMEL, Harold. (19**?) Dramatist, short-story writer and politician. Working for the South African Liberal Party before it was banned in 1968, and associated with the New African, Kimmel was one of the few dramatists to investigate the effects of Apartheid on the white man. His plays include Radio Felicity (1971), The Cell (1972) and *** (See Gosher, 1988; ) [JH]
