Training
Studied Drama at the University of Stellenbosch.
Career
In 1961 he became a member of the NTO Youth Drama group. From 1963 onwards he acted on a regular basis for CAPAB, PACT and PACOFS.

He translated A Midsummer Night's Dream into Afrikaans, with the title Somernagdroom; Dagboek van ‘n Waansinnige (Diary of a Madman) by Nikolai Gogol; Medea;
Die Drie Vreemdelinge A translation into Afrikaans and adaptation for the stage of a short story by Thomas Hardy, The Three Strangers,,
Daarvan Leef die Mens Virginia Church and translated into Afrikaans by Roelf Laubscher.

He wrote the children’s play Die Towerboek van Kammalielieland.
He played in the film My Naam is Dingetjie.
