Founded in Nieu Bethesda by ** in 20**
It died after ABSA withdrew sponsorship in 2011, and it was not hosted in 2012. In 2013 *** and Darryl Earl David began to host a new Fugard Festival in Richmond, back to back with the the JM Coetzee Festival.
