(18**-19**) Flemish actor. Dr Willem Benoy trained in Belgium and later joined the Koninklijke Vereniging Het Nederlandsh Toneel. Ludwig Binge (1969, p71)describes some of his work in the Netherklands, then infers that he came to South Africa and would have an influence here - however, no further mention is made of his actual work in South Africa.
