(19*-) Anthropologist and lecturer, playwright. Born in Windburg in the Orange Free State and grew up on a farm near Dewetsdorp. She lectured Anthroplogy and Archaeology at the University of South Africa for 15 years, and completed a master's thesis called: Childhood: An Anthropological Study of Itinerancy and Domestic Fluidity Amongst the Karretjie People of the South African Karoo.
