De Wahl

(18**-18**) According to W.G. Groom a "clever amateur", well-known in the Cape, who performed for the Private Amateur Company in The Miller and His Men (1843). (F.C.L. Bosman however suggests it may have been "De Waal or simply "Wahl") See A de Waal.
