Translated into Afrikaans as Kersieboord by ** and first produced by ** in 19*. Other productions directed by **, **, Ken Leach (CAPAB?*, 1978), ** Janet Suzman wrote a radically adapted version of it, entitled A Free State, setting the play in South Africa (London, 19**?). Published by ** in 200*. Reza de Wet also borrowed heavily from the play for her own Three Sisters Two and Yelena.
