(194*-) Actor, director, voice artist and drama manager. Born in **, studied at **. He worked with three Performing Arts Councils, notably for PACOFS in the late 1960s and early 1970s, initially as actor, later as drama manger. In this time he performed in and/or directed most of the small ensemble’s productions, including such memorable ones as Die Pluimsaad Waai Vêr (19**), Kanna hy kô Hystoe (19**), Becket (19**), The Tempest (196*), After that became a freelance actor for radio, television and stage. Stage roles in this period include: Die Van Aardes van Grootoor (1978),** **, **, ***, **, Later he and his wife Lida Botha founded JohanLida Produksies, to work with Leon Kruger with on Oupa en Ouma sit op die stoep en raak romanties (written by Leon Kruger, directed by Johan Botha, 2011), **. Also has had roles in many radio plays and a few films and TV series, including Arende (198*), **.
