Hannalie van der Merwe (born 12th November, 1952) is a Professional Radio Announcer/ Music Producer/ Musician/ Music Conductor/ Director/ TV Presenter/ TV Producer/ TV Editor.

Biography

Hannalie van der Merwe was born in ?, the daughter of Reverend Ernst van den Berg and Jean de Villiers.

After school she studied at Pretoria University for her Bachelors in Music degree (Church Organ).

She joined the radio division of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) in 1975 as Music Producer and worked mainly with the SABC Orchestra, National Orchestra, overseas artists, local artists and choirs. In 1978 she switched over to the SABC TV service where she presented, scripted, produced, edited and compiled music programme series and educational programmes including a daily children's educational programme (3-7 age group) which she wrote and produced.

Hannalie van der Merwe was also renowned as an organist and accompanist.

Ateljee Tikkel Tokkel: a series of 16 45-50 minute programmes for all ages consisting of workshops where musical instruments were demonstrated and made;

(Date and title required): 5 series of programmes with puppets and 'muppets'.
