The original text
Set in a rural church on a farm, it is a play about the intense meeting of two people - a black woman who is returning home to this farm, this church, which represent a very fond yet compromised piece of her history, and a white woman, who displays an aggressive sense of ownership in this context.
Originally created with the working title of The Return, the play was to have been performed at the Market Theatre during August/September 1994. However, though performing rights had been awarded by DALRO, production was cancelled but due to a shortage of funds.
