L'Avare by Molière (1668). Translated into English as The Miser, it was first done in South Africa by** in 19*? Done as The Miser by Joan Brickhill and Louis Burke for PACT in 1964, with Siegfried Mynhardt, it ran for twenty weeks. Translated into Afrikaans as Die Vrek by Uys Krige??, it was first produced by NTO in 1951, with Siegfried Mynhardt in the lead role, playing for 206 nights.
