Petrus Gerhardus Nel (1927-2004) was a cultural historian, academic and editor.

Biography
He completed an MA Dissertation on Constantijn Huygens and 17th century Dutch art, at the University of Pretoria in 1955.
Contribution to South African theatre, film, media and performance
He compiled the collection Die Storm en Ander Eenbedrywe, published by Perskor in 1972.
