Till Eulenspiegel is the German name of a trickster figure originating in Middle Low German folklore, whose in picaresque adventures in various regions have often been dramatized. The last name if often used as a term to refer to a buffoon, fool, trickster or jester.

He appears appears in many cultures under a variety of names, for instance as "Owlglass" in English, "Uilenspiegel" in Dutch and "Uilspieël" in Afrikaans.
