Wolf by the Ears is a play by Charles Dumas ()[1]

The original text

A full length, six character play based on the relationship between Sally Hemmings and Thomas Jefferson which takes place during a visit to Monticello by John Adams in 1811. A workshop production with students of the Stellenbosch Drama Department, the play premiered in 2003 and was selected as one of the five finalist for the best play by an African-American playwright in 2004.
