Kremetart is the Afrikaans name for the Boabab (or Adansonia) tree, indigenous to Madagaskar, Afrika and Australia.

The name occurs often in South African literature and art, and there have been at least two Afrikaans plays by this name, the one adapted from, and the other a translation of, another literary work:

Kremetart by Naude/Constanduros (1946)

Kremetart is the Afrikaans translation by Isabeau Naude of a play (original title unknown) by English actress and writer Mabel Constanduros (1880-1975) [1] and Howard Agg. A One-act play.

Kremetart was the winning play, entered by the Krugersdorp Municipal Dramatic and Operatic Society, at the FATSSA Play Festival held in East London, 1946.
