Performance history in South Africa
1995: First staged at the Windybrow Arts Festival in March, directed by Selaelo Maredi, with Khuloana Legodi, Tina Hlongwane, Thulani Mngomezulu, Gcina Mkhize and Nwabisa Tola.
1997: Staged by PACOFS in Bloemfontein and then in the Barney Simon Theatre, upstairs at The Market Theatre from January to March, directed by Selaelo Maredi, with Ramolao Makhene, Baby Cele, Lindelani Buthelezi, Don Mlangeni, Arthur Molepo and James Borthwick. The same production moved to The Momentum Theatre at the State Theatre in March 1997.
2002: Black Age was again staged at the Windybrow Arts Festival in March.
2009: A production directed by Danny Jasson was staged in the Mmabana Cultural Centre in Mafikeng at the 12th yearly Stop Crime Drama Festival in March.
