An Empty Stocking is a play in one act by Fred Wright Jr (1871-1928)[1].
A play about a father, his deserted daughter and an impecunious author. Opened in The Strand Theatre, London on 18 May, 1898.
Performed as a double bill with What Happened to Jones (Broadhurst) by Charles Arnold and his company while on tour in Australia (1900 and 1902) and in South Africa (1900).
1899: Performed by Charles Arnold and his company in the Theatre Royal, Durban, on 19 December
1900: Performed by Charles Arnold and his company in the Opera House Cape Town on 20 January.
