The original text
Probably written for the Rederijkers, the only production in the Netherlands noted on the internet to date was in 1873, where Solide Menschen is described as a "Comieke chene" and performed by the society Onder Ons in Groenendijk, as part of their annual production.

1870: Performed by Door Yver Bloeit de Kunst in the Oddfellows' Hall, Cape Town, on 23 June (with Rinaldo Rinaldini by Vulpius and some ballet items), possibly repeated 7 July and again circa 21 July.
