Society is a comedy by T.W. Robertson (1829-1871)[1].

The original text
First produced in 1865 at the Prince of Wales's Theatre, Liverpool, and thereafter at the Prince of Wales's Theatre in London's West End, where it ran from 11 November 1865 to 4 May 1866.
The text, edited by T. Edgar Pemberton, was published - with Robertson's Caste - by D.C. Heath & Co (Boston & London) in 1905

1884-5: Performed by the Henry Harper Company in the new Theatre Royal, Cape Town, as part of Henry Harper's first season as lessee and manager of the venue.
