Aus Liebe zur Kunst, oder Ein Singspiel is a German musical farce in one act by Gustav von Moser (1825-1903)[1].


The original text

The play was first performed at the Wallner-Theater, Berlin and published in 1873, with the music attributed to August Conradi (1821-1873)[].

Translated into Dutch as Het Zangerfeest ("the singer's festival") .

Performance history in South Africa

Performed in Dutch as Het Zangerfeest by the rederijkerskamer Onze Taal in the Pretoria in the period 1891-1898.
