Jantjie

Jantjie is a 1984 Afrikaans feature film by Dirk de Villiers.

The film

The main character of the film, Jantjie, is frustrated by his circumstances. He joins the army to begin a new life. While he is gone, his special lady friend is courted by a rich businessman. She finally agrees to marry him because they believe that Jantjie will not return.
